During vocational skills and art classes, clients create handmade products that are sold at quarterly markets. These include sugar scrubs, candles, fleece blankets, laundry soap, cloned plants, painted plant pots, clothespin wreaths and both canvas and paper art. Clients also sort and process Legos into color sets, which are sold to creators needing specific pieces for art and builds.
The funds from sales go directly back to our clients, who use the money during community outings, or for whatever they want. This provides an opportunity to practice budgeting and daily living skills in real-world settings.
The microenterprise program gives clients the chance to apply what they’ve learned in meaningful, practical ways.
