Mouse Race Cancellation

Dear Friends of Achievements Unlimited: In light of the Coronavirus, and directives from local, state, and federal authorities, we have decided to cancel the Mouse Race scheduled for April 18, 2020.

As many know, the Coronavirus will impose an existential threat to many small, not for profits and businesses. At AU we take this threat very seriously. The Mouse Race has been an important fundraiser and community builder for AU since we began operations in 2012. A cancellation, therefore, represents a severe blow to our organization.

To ensure our economic survival, we want to limit our efforts at the present time to our mission of serving adults with autism and other intellectual disabilities. We had hoped to remain open but recently have been directed by state officials to close our program for at least two weeks starting this Friday, March 20th at 3:00 pm. This will mean a loss of revenue to AU until at least Monday, April 6th and perhaps longer. With continued support from our community, we will do our best to get through this significant challenge.

On behalf of the board of directors and management, we greatly appreciate the sponsorships and contributions that we have received to date for the Mouse Race. As soon as we can, we will be in touch with you to give you more information about our plans.
